Chris grew up in Ocean Springs, MS. He moved to Hattiesburg, MS to attend USM and it was there that he met Erin who was leading worship at the campus ministry through River of Life Church. He didn't waste much time and within 2 years, he proposed and they were married. His heart is to make the Gospel or the "Good News" of Jesus Christ known to the ends of the earth, beginning with his wife and children. He is very excited to begin ministering to the Bolivian people with his family and the Powells.
Erin has spent most of her life in Hattiesburg, MS. She was the worship leader at River of Life Church for 10 years. Growing up as a pastors kid, she has been involved in ministry on every level throughout her life. She has felt a draw towards orphans and missions since she was a little girl. She believes that children are tiny disciples that the Lord entrusts you with. She is excited to move into this new season of motherhood with homeschooling and being home with them full time. She is learning what it means to truly surrender her life to the Lord and answer his call.
Asher is 6 years old and he is compassionate, justice-oriented and he is a fantastic dancer. He has a wonderful servant's heart and loves being Mommy's big helper.
Jace is 4 and is full of life. He likes working with his hands - building and taking things apart. He loves to make people laugh and tell stories.
Avery and Scarlet are 2 years old. They are a true double portion! They are a daily reminder to the Tisburys of God's faithfulness and the fullness of His will. The girls continue to show just how different they are in looks and personality as they grow. Avery is sweet and very tender hearted. She likes to wrestle with Daddy and is very ticklish! Scarlet is sassy and full of personality! She likes to dance, jewelry and is very "girly".
Anna is 1 year old. She is a wonderful baby and very content. She is very curios and likes discovering new things. She loves to eat!! And she has a smile that will melt your heart.
